Xey anuncia su entrada en concurso de acreedores, tal como recoge Noticias de Gipuzkoa, desde el pasado miércoles.

La firma con sede en Zumaia, propiedad del Grupo Mobiliario del Urola, no ha podido conseguir la ampliación necesaria y, en un breve comunicado citado por el rotativo, afirma que en la actualidad está trabajando para encontrar soluciones que garanticen la viabilidad del proyecto. Las negociaciones se centran en intentar lograr una nueva ampliación de capital para refinanciar la deuda de 18 millones de euros que tiene contraída con cinco entidades bancarias.Ante esta situación, el Comité de Empresa, en representación de una plantilla formada por unos 170 trabajadores, pidió transparencia a la dirección y la implicación del Gobierno Vasco al entender que la empresa es viable.

En 2012, la empresa sufrió también una situación parecida, y fue entonces cuando la actual dirección tomó las riendas de la compañía.
