Whirlpool y Habitat for Humanity, en Eslovaquia

Whirlpool sigue colaborando con Habitat for Humanity para ayudar a las personas más desfavorecidas de Europa. Su nuevo proyecto proporcionará en Eslovaquia, a finales de año, 12 apartamentos para las familias que más necesitan un hogar.

En junio de este año los empleados de Whirlpool en Poprad junto con Habitat for Humanity y la organización ETP Eslovaquia, pusieron en marcha el programa Global Village para la construcción de hogares para las familias más desfavorecidas de Moldava nad Bodvou. La etapa inicial del proyecto proporcionará, a finales de este año, 12 apartamentos para las familias en necesidad de refugio.

Este año, el equipo de voluntarios de Whirlpool ha sido el primero en participar en la construcción de casas para las familias menos afortunadas de Eslovaquia. Sin embargo, Whirlpool ha colaborado en anteriores ocasiones en la zona. En 2007, un empleado de la planta de Poprad participó en el Habitat for Humanity pan-europeo  para la construcción de casas en Hungría y, en 2008, nueve voluntarios de Poprad ayudaron a construir casas para 12 familias en Polonia.
