Whirlpool: de las más ecológicas de América

Whirlpool Corporation ha quedado situada en el puesto 78 en la lista de las 500 grandes empresas más ecológicas de América, según el Newsweek Green Rankings.

Para realizar esta clasificación, la revista – junto con CorporateRegister.com y los especialistas en análisis medioambiental,  KLD Research & Analytics y Trucost-, han analizado las políticas ecológicas, el impacto medioambiental de su actividad y la reputación de las 500 compañías más grandes de América. Las empresas que comprenden esta clasificación han sido seleccionadas por sus ingresos, su capitalización de mercado y el número de trabajadores.

Por otra parte, Whirlpool mantiene, por quinto año consecutivo, su presencia  en el índice mundial Dow Jones de Sostenibilidad, gracias a sus prácticas de responsabilidad social

Además, Whirlpool ha sido incluida en los índices bursátiles de sostenibilidad más representativos como el  FTSE4OD, de Reino Unido, y el KLD Domini 400 Índices, de Estados Unidos. Recientemente, Whirlpool ha sido nombrada por la revista Fortune como una de las empresas más admiradas; uno de las 100 mejores ciudadanos corporativos por la revista  Chief Responsibility Officer; una de las empresas más éticas del mundo por la revista Ethisphere y una de las 50  empresas más respetadas de EUA por el Reputation Institute.
