La Asociación de Empresas de Diseño Español (Red) se ha integrado a la Federación Española de Empresarios e Industriales del Mueble (Federmueble), que aglutina ya 21 asociaciones del sector del mueble en España.

Red, Asociación de Empresas de Diseño Español, se creó en el año 2009 para representar los intereses de las empresas del sector hábitat-diseño, con el objetivo de establecer lazos de colaboración con otras entidades e instituciones nacionales, autonómicas y locales, y promover proyectos y servicios que hagan aumentar la presencia de productos de diseño español en el mercado.

Formada por 39 empresas, ofrece servicios como la interlocución con las Administraciones Públicas para la ayuda a la promoción del diseño; la innovación y su internacionalización; interlocución con las instituciones feriales y con los medios de prensa especializada; organización y seminarios de Workshops; información sobre cooperación empresarial; foro de intercambio de posibilidades de negocio; cooperación industrial y comercial; y participación en clúster multisectoriales de diseño e innovación, entre otros.

La asociación, presidida por la diseñadora Nani Marquina, ha presentado un Plan de Actuación Sectorial con la finalidad de de potenciar la imagen del diseño español y su capacidad de crecimiento en el mercado nacional e internacional a través de acciones formativas y de desarrollo empresarial, creación de una nueva imagen internacional del diseño español, fomento de la promoción comercial internacional, impulso de la innovación, cooperación empresarial y difusión de prácticas innovadoras en el diseño español.
