Miele, de nuevo con La Hora del Planeta

Miele participará un año más en La Hora del Planeta, y apagará las luces y desconectará los aparatos de todos sus centros y exposiciones.

La compañía se une de nuevo a esta toma de conciencia para frenar el cambio climático, la mayor campaña de concienciación de la asociación WWF y una llamada a la acción para los defensores del medio ambiente. El próximo sábado 19 de marzo, entre las 20:30 y las 21:30 horas, Miele apagará todos los rótulos y las luces de sus oficinas y almacenes, y desconectará los aparatos y productos en exposición, para colaborar con la iniciativa.

WWF organizó por primera vez La Hora del Planeta en 2007 en Sidney y desde entonces ha logrado la participación de más de 7.000 ciudades y pueblos de 168 países. Cada año miles de empresas, centros educativos y entidades de todo el mundo se unen para  demostrar que un futuro basado en las energías limpias es posible. Este año la acción cobra todavía más sentido ya que el pasado mes de diciembre gobiernos de todo el mundo firmaron en París un nuevo acuerdo que permitirá controlar el cambio climático y tratará de evitar sus consecuencias ecológicas, económicas y sociales.
 
El compromiso de Miele con esta iniciativa se enmarca dentro de su defensa de la sostenibilidad, una de sus líneas de trabajo principales y un aspecto fundamental de sus electrodomésticos, caracterizados por un largo ciclo de vida útil que permite reducir su impacto medioambiental.

La empresa lleva a cabo una estricta política en este campo que le permite afrontar retos medioambientales como el cambio climático o la escasez de recursos naturales con garantías de éxito. El esfuerzo de Miele en esta materia se ha visto recompensado con el Premio Nacional de Sostenibilidad de Alemania, uno de los galardones más importantes de Europa en este ámbito.
