Durante el pasado mes de agosto, Miele acompañó como patrocinador al escalador José Garcia Romo en su sueño de alcanzar la cima del monte Lenin, situado en Kyrgyzstan.

José García Romo, escalador de renombre nacional, demuestra el poder de superación del hombre ante las situaciones más adversas de la vida, ya que tras padecer un carcinoma renal y sufrir por ello la extracción de uno de los riñones, se fijo la meta de ascender a 7.134 metros. Miele apoyó la iniciativa de este joven y perseverante escalador patrocinando la expedición.

El objetivo de José García Romo es conseguir el Leopardo de las Nieves, título honorífico que da la Federación Rusa de Montañismo y Escalada a todos aquellos alpinistas que consiguen conquistar con éxito la cima de las cinco montañas más altas de la antigua URSS: Pico Comunismo (7.495 m.), Pico Poveda (7.439 m.), Pico Lenin (7.134 m.), Pico Khorzeneuskaya (7.105 m.) y el Pico Khan Tengri (7.010 m.).
