Markus Wiesner, nuevo presidente de EFIC

Por unanimidad, el austriaco Markus Wiesner ha sido elegido nuevo presidente de EFIC, que representa alrededor del 75% de la facturación total de la industria del mueble en Europa, e integra a países como Alemania, Italia y España.

La Federación Española de Empresarios e Industriales del Mueble (Federmueble) participó el pasado día 30 de noviembre, en su condición de miembro, en la Asamblea General de la patronal europea del mueble EFIC (European Furniture Industries Confederation) que tuvo lugar en Copenhague, y en la que Austria fue recibido como nuevo miembro y asumirá la presidencia de la organización de 2012 a 2015, en la persona de Markus Wiesner, quien fue elegido por unanimidad.


 
Wiesner sustituye en el cargo al portugués Fernando Rolin, quien durante su mandato los últimos dos años ha llevado a cabo mejoras sustanciales en la estructura de la confederación.


El nuevo presidente de la patronal europea del mueble es el socio ejecutivo de Wiesner-Hager, una empresa con sede social en Altheim (Austria) y es un experto internacional en el campo de la arquitectura de oficinas con 353 empleados.

En esta nueva etapa, la EFIC seguirá trabajando por fortalecer aún más su estructura para optimizar la representación y defensa de los intereses de la industria europea del mueble, haciendo especial hincapié en mejorar las condiciones marco de cara a un aumento de la competitividad internacional del sector.
