Leroy Merlín inicia la reconstrucción de la tienda de Majadahonda

La tienda de Leroy Merlin en el centro comercial Equinoccio de Majadahonda (Madrid) sufrió anteayer un incendio.

La tienda, de 6.000 metros cuadrados, quedó completamente destruida como consecuencia del fuego, que se inició en la cubierta del edificio pasadas las 11 de la noche,  y no se registraron víctimas.

Hasta el lugar del suceso se desplazaron 15 dotaciones de bomberos que lograron controlar el fuego. Las autoridades han iniciado las pertinentes investigaciones para tratar de averiguar las causas del incendio.

Según Leroy Merlin, la de Majadahonda era una de las tiendas referentes a nivel tanto de ventas como de resultados. Con un equipo formado por 150 personas, siendo el 90% de la plantilla indefinida, pionera en implicación y motivación, daba cobertura a cerca de 600.000 clientes.

En este momento la empresa está estudiando la inmediata reubicación del equipo de trabajo de esta tienda en otros centros Leroy Merlin de la Comunidad de Madrid ubicados en: Las Rozas, Alcorcón, San Sebastián de los Reyes,  Leganés,  Rivas Vaciamadrid , Alcalá de Henares y Getafe.

Además, Leroy Merlin España ha habilitado en su página web un espacio a disposición de sus usuarios con toda la información referida  a las necesidades de los clientes de la tienda. Igualmente, ha puesto en marcha un teléfono gratuito y una dirección de correo electrónico para atender las dudas de los clientes de la tienda.
En un comunicado, Leroy Merlin dice haber comenzado a trabajar ya en reconstrucción de la tienda para tenerla funcionando a la mayor brevedad posible y asegura contar con todos los sistemas de protección contra incendios preceptivos en la legislación. 

Asimismo argumenta que en cada una de las tiendas se desarrolla un plan de mantenimiento integral de las instalaciones que incluyen la revisión de los sistemas de protección contra incendios, sistemas eléctricos, etc… más allá de lo establecido por la Legislación.

Por otro lado, la compañía se ve periódicamente sometida a revisiones oficiales realizadas por las empresas que gestionan el mantenimiento de las tiendas, siendo estos dictámenes favorables.
