Para conmemorar los 20 años de su celebración, Casa Decor Madrid se solidariza con la Fundación Carmen Pardo-Valcarce haciendo partícipes a personas con discapacidad intelectual en trabajos de decoración en la exposición.

Se trata en concreto de una serie muy exclusiva de cajas decorativas customizadas con la colaboración de decoradores de renombre habituales de Casa Decor.

Los trabajos decorativos, que comienzan ya a realizarse en los Talleres de creatividad, pintura y carpintería de la fundación, pondrá de manifiesto la sorprendente capacidad de estas personas para crear. ‘Buscar rincones, como Casa Decor en los que expresar todo lo que las personas con discapacidad pueden aportar, nos ayuda a construir una sociedad más diversa, más rica y más solidaria. Queremos decorar el mundo convirtiéndolo en un lugar mejor para todos’, según Carmen Cafranga, presidenta de la Fundación Carmen Pardo-Valcarce, que participó el 13 de marzo en la primera presentación de Casa Decor.

Además, se habilitará una tienda solidaria donde se podrán comprar todos los artículos de la Fundación Carmen Pardo-Valcarce, que se pueden adquirir también en www.fundashop.es. Los beneficios recaudados durante Casa Decor, a través de esta tienda y otras actividades, se destinarán a la construcción de una vivienda de entrenamiento para que jóvenes con discapacidad intelectual de la fundación puedan practicar las habilidades necesarias para vivir de forma independiente.

Casa Decor, que se celebrará del 17 de mayo al 24 de junio, ha elegido, además, para conmemorar sus 20 años de historia el palacete de la antigua Real Compañía Asturiana de Minas, propiedad de Mutua Madrileña para llevar a cabo la exposición.
