Knee is the kitchen tap by CEA, defined by a cylindrical volume of the main body and characterized by contrasting materials that well distinguish all the components.
The fix part is made of stainless steel, while the spout, with its spherical movement that allows orienting the flow, is made of integral polyurethane, sterile, soft to the touch and constant in temperature.
During the Salone del Mobile 2016, CEA presents the kitchen tap Knee. The cylindrical volume of the main body appears as a deck mounted object with its own independent identity, but in the meanwhile with formal and conceptual simplicity able to relate with any type of spaces.
Knee has an immediate understanding and the use of contrasting materials well distinguish all the components: the fix part is made of stainless steel, solid and present, while the spout, with its spherical movement that allows orienting the flow, is made of integral polyurethane, sterile, soft to the touch and constant in temperature.
The spout is designed to invite the observer to hold it and experience its three-dimensional spatial movement providing maximum functionality while working in the kitchen. Knee is a design of Simone Mandelli and Antonio Pagliarulo.
CEA
The interaction between human beings and their environment is a fundamental part of CEA research, through the development of products with a strictly functional design. An interdisciplinary approach where physiology, psychology and anthropometry join the company values. CEA products for the kitchen are the result of a design which does care for domestic needs, combining steel antibacterial effectiveness and its quality in terms of ergonomics and hygiene.
