AEIM, Asociación Española del Comercio e Industria de la Madera, presenta una infografia con el título La madera, esencial en la nueva bioeconomia circular postCovid19.

Cinco ideas básicas

Esta infografía pretende destacar y difundir estas cinco ideas básicas:

  • La madera debe tener un papel esencial en la recuperación postCovid19, mediante el desarrollo de una bioeconomía circular basada en recursos renovables.
  • La madera procedente de una gestión forestal sostenible es un material renovable.
  • Los bosques en España se están gestionando de forma sostenible, y destaca su contribución fundamental frente el cambio climatico. De hecho, ocupan un 54% de la superficie del país y han crecido un 33% desde 1990. Este crecimiento del stock forestal compensa, además, el 20% del total de emisiones de CO2 en España. Además, 1m3 de madera aserrada abcorbe aproximadamente una tonelada de CO2.
  • Mediante el EUTR se acredita la legalidad de toda la madera que se comercializa en la UE. Por otro lado, una etiqueta de certificación en un producto forestal informa al comprador deque la madera se ha obtenido en un bosque bien gestionado. Por ejemplo, PEFC, FSC...
  • Es muy importante el aprovechamiento en cascada de la madera para optimizar al máximo los recursos forestales. Esto significa optimazar al máximo el uso de la madera como materia prima, teneindo en cuenta el ciclo de los productos, su contribución al cambio climático y al fomento del empleo. Y, también, reutilizando los subproductos como, por ejemplo, los procedentes del aserrado, y valorando residuos y recursos sin otro uso posible.

Material sostenible

La madera, según AEIM, es la mejor opción para construir viviendas y la más sostenible. En cuanto a los muebles de madera, afirman que se trata del material más natural, y crean ambientes saludables acogedores. En cuanto a fabricación de envases y embalajes renovables, pallets, envases, cajas y embalajes de madera, propician un transporte más ecológico y bajo en carbono, tal como afirma la asociación.

AEIM se propone ir desarrollando estas ideas básicas mediante información monográfica más detallada, que se irá concretando en breve.
