Indesit culmina la compra de Hotpoint

El pasado viernes, Indesit adquirió la última cuota de las acciones de General Domestic Appliance Holding GDA (Hotpoint) de General Electric por 57.120.000 dólares (unos 44,2 millones de euros).

Al mismo tiempo, ha sido liberada una cantidad en efectivo similar a la que la compañía depositó en 2003 en virtud de los términos del acuerdo de adquisición.

La operación ha puesto fin formalmente al contrato de doble opción celebrado en junio de 2002 entre GE e Indesit, en virtud del cual la multinacional americana vendía su 50% de GDA a la empresa dirigida por Vittorio Merloni. El otro 50% de GDA había sido adquirido en marzo de 2002 por Indesit desde Marconi.
