La madrugada del domingo se produjo un incendio en la fábrica que el fabricante madrileño de muebles de cocinas, Infer, tiene en la localidad de Cubas de la Sagra.

Según la información difundida por el Servicio de Emergencias del 112 de la Comunidad de Madrid, la estructura de la nave ha quedado muy dañada como consecuencia de las llamas. Concretamente, la nave, de 8.000 metros cuadrados de superficie ha quedado afectada prácticamente en su totalidad.

Dado que el fuego se produjo de madrugada, y no había personal trabajando en las instalaciones no hay que lamentar víctimas; solo daños materiales.

Según la información difundida por medios locales, las bajas temperaturas tras la nevada causada hace una semana por el temporal Filomena, provocó que la instalación contraincendios no funcionase al encontrarse los circuitos de la misma congelados.

Hasta la planta de Infer, en la que habitualmente trabajan unas ochenta personas, se desplazaron ayer hasta once dotaciones de bomberos y personal de Protección Civil para controlar el fuego.

De momento, la Guardia Civil se ha hecho cargo de la investigación para tratar de encontrar las causas que provocaron el incendio.

Fuentes de Infer han confirmado a COCINA INTEGRAL que tuvieron conocimiento del incendio ayer domingo por la mañana; que parece que el origen del fuego se localiza en la sala de juntas, por un posible cortocircuito; y que el fuego ha arrasado todo: maquinaria, existencias y ha afectado gravemente a la estructura.
