Ikea se consolida en España y apuesta por el medio ambiente

kea cerró el ejercicio 2015 (septiembre 2014-agosto 2015) con un incremento de su facturación en España del 10,7%.

La facturación de Ikea en España durante su último ejercicio (finalizado en agosto de 2015), alcanzó los 1.281 millones de euros, el 10,7% más que el mismo periodo anterior. Dentro del balance del ejercicio 2015, Ikea ha evidenciado la consolidación de la actividad de la compañía en todos los mercados con los que cuenta en la Península. Durante el pasado ejercicio, las tiendas ibéricas de Ikea recibieron más de 39,5 millones de visitantes, un 5% más que el anterior.

Como parte de su contribución al mercado local español, en 2015, Ikea invirtió cerca de 100 millones de euros en compras a más de 1.700 proveedores españoles, un 9% más que en el ejercicio anterior, y destinó 1.190.337 euros -un 29% más que en 2014- a proyectos sociales desarrollados tanto a nivel global como en el entorno local por cada una de sus tiendas.

Compromiso medioambiental
A nivel ibérico, la multinacional sueca de la decoración ha querido destacar el crecimiento del 18% de las ventas de soluciones que ayudan a ahorrar agua y energía y a gestionar los recursos, cuyo importe sumó los 54,8 millones de euros.

Como parte de su política de respeto medioambiental, Ikea ha señalado también que, en 2015, redujo su actividad energética en más de 4,4 millones de kilovatios-hora (kWh), un 5,8% respecto a 2014, y que la energía renovable generada en sus propias tiendas alcanzó los 13.410.345 kWh. Sobre el tratamiento de residuos generados en las tiendas, el 92% fueron reciclados y/o aprovechados energéticamente por gestores autorizados.

Asimismo, a nivel mundial, la compañía considera que éste 2016 será un año crítico para el cambio climático por lo que el Grupo IKEA y la Fundación IKEA han anunciado destinar mil millones de euros de inversión hasta 2020 en energías renovables.
