Grupo Cosentino abre filial en Italia

Para esta operación el grupo español especialista en la fabricación y distribución de superficies de cuarzo, ha invertido 1,5 millones de euros.
Cosentino Italia, nombre que recibirá esta nueva subsidiaria, es el resultado de la toma de control por parte de Cosentino del cien por cien del capital de la empresa Sesmar SRL, hasta ahora distribuidor oficial de Silestone para la zona noreste del país.

Cosentino Italia, cuya sede social estará ubicada en Padova, ciudad próxima a Venecia, cuenta inicialmente con dos almacenes logísticos, uno situado en Peralolo de Vigonza y otro en Cattolica, población cercana a Pesaro.

A estas instalaciones, y dentro de su estrategia de crecimiento para este mercado, Grupo Cosentino tiene previsto sumar un nuevo almacén y centro logístico en Padova, que dará servicio a las regiones del Veneto y Triveneto.

Asimismo, la compañía española no descarta realizar durante el próximo año nuevas inversiones en infraestructuras en otros puntos de la geografía italiana.

A través de esta filial, Cosentino espera incrementar la facturación en este mercado hasta alcanzar una cifra próxima a los 10 millones de euros en 2007, lo que colocaría a Italia como sexto país europeo por facturación dentro del Grupo por detrás de países como Reino Unido, Holanda, Francia y, por supuesto, el propio mercado español que sigue ocupando el primer lugar con unas ventas de casi 150 millones de euros.
