Francisco Martínez-Cosentino, Medalla de Oro al Mérito en el Trabajo

El presidente de Grupo Cosentino recibió el pasado viernes la Medalla de Oro al Mérito en el Trabajo, que concede el Gobierno de España a propuesta del Ministerio de Empleo.

En un acto celebrado en el Salón de Tapices del Palacio de la Moncloa, el fundador y actual máximo dirigente de la multinacional española líder en la producción y distribución de superficies para la arquitectura y el diseño, recibió la condecoración de manos del actual presidente del Gobierno en funciones, Mariano Rajoy, que presidió la ceremonia junto a Fátima Báñez, Ministra de Empleo y Seguridad Social.

Con la concesión de este galardón, el Gobierno reconoce en la figura del presidente de Grupo Cosentino su esfuerzo en la creación y desarrollo de un proyecto empresarial que ha permitido, no sólo crear puestos de trabajo, sino también proyectar la Marca España a nivel internacional, así como promover el compromiso social.

Según ha declarado el propio Martínez-Cosentino, quien ha estado acompañado por diferentes miembros de su familia durante el acto, este reconocimiento lo comparto en primer lugar con mis hermanos, José y Eduardo, sin los que yo hoy seguramente no estaría aquí. Asimismo con el resto de mi familia, especialmente mi mujer y mis hijos por su paciencia, entrega y cariño permanentes. Y finalmente hago extensible esta Medalla a todos y cada uno de los trabajadores, colaboradores y socios que durante todos estos años han hecho posible que Cosentino sea hoy por hoy una de las empresas españolas más reconocidas y de mayor presencia internacional.

Para concluir, Francisco Martínez-Cosentino ha tenido un recuerdo para los 400.000 empresarios arruinados durante la crisis y a los cinco millones de parados, y ha pedido que las administraciones sean tan ágiles como las empresas privadas.

Grupo Cosentino cuenta actualmente con más de 3.400 trabajadores, de los cuales 1.450 están en España. En Almería, donde radica la sede central del grupo y su parque industrial, Cosentino es uno de los mayores empleadores ya que a los empleos directos que mantiene hay que unir los indirectos que genera al ser una empresa industrial, con un ratio estimado de 2,5 puestos indirectos por cada empleo directo existente.
