Francisco Huidobro, nuevo presidente de Confemadera

Confemadera celebró el pasado 29 de junio su Asamblea General 2011, en la que Francisco Huidobro fue proclamado nuevo Presidente de la Confederación.

El nuevo Presidente de la Confederación, de 50 años de edad y licenciado en Derecho, cuenta con una dilatada carrera en el sector de la madera y el mueble en el mundo asociativo. En la actualidad es Presidente de la Asociación Empresarial de la Madera y Mueble de Álava (SEA. Madera Álava).

En su primer discurso, Francisco Huidobro destacó la necesidad de realizar una profunda reflexión ante el próximo convenio sectorial. También hizo hincapié en la importancia del impulso del mercado interior, así como de la internacionalización de las empresas del sector, a través de una mayor coordinación con otros planes de exportación de subsectores de la madera y el mueble, en el marco del concepto hábitat.

Por otro lado, insistió en la necesidad de potenciar el papel y la representatividad del sector del mueble y en la importancia de abanderar desde la Confederación sus reivindicaciones.

En el marco de la Asamblea se celebró también la jornada Para rehabilitar, elige madera: nuevas medidas fiscales de apoyo al sector de la carpintería, en la que se explicó la aplicación de la nueva deducción en el IRPF por obras de mejora en la vivienda tras la reforma del Real Decreto Ley 5/2011, del 29 de abril, y las ventajas que tiene acometer este tipo de obras.
