Dirigido a estudiantes de diseño europeos, ya está abierto el plazo de recepción de propuestas.

Formica Group presenta el concurso de diseño Formica Formations. El certamen está abierto a estudiantes de Bélgica, Francia, Países Bajos, España, Suecia y el Reino Unido, e invita a explorar el mundo de los colores y las formas, y reinventar la noción de la luz mediante el uso de los laminados Formica.

El reto propuesto consiste en arrojar una mirada diferente a la interpretación de los elementos, accesorios y aplicaciones de iluminación de uso en interiores, empleando como material principal algunos de los 600 laminados decorativos que ofrece la nueva Colección Formica.

El jurado internacional está compuesto por el diseñador y director artístico estadounidense Abott Miller, socio de Pentagram, el arquitecto y diseñador sueco Eero Koivisto, fundador de Claesson Koivisto Rune (CKR), y las dos diseñadoras de Formica Group Renée Hytry Derrington y Eva Hoernisch.

Las universidades, escuelas de diseño y participantes pueden consultar las bases del concurso y apuntarse al mismo a través de la web www.formica.com/formations y el correo electrónico formations@formica.com El plazo de inscripción finaliza el próximo 18 de diciembre de 2015.

Formica Group retoma con Formica Formations la tradición de convocar concursos internacionales dirigidos a estudiantes, como en su momento fueron los prestigiosos Formica Funcional y Formica Creativa, ambos de carácter bienal.
