Federmueble pide un plan de modernización para el sector

La Asamblea General anual de la Federación Española de Empresarios e Industriales del Mueble, celebrada en Murcia, giró en torno a la necesidad de trabajar en un Plan Estratégico de Modernización del mueble.

El objetivo del Plan Estratégico de Modernización es remodelar al sector e incrementar su peso en la economía española, mejorando la competitividad de las empresas. Con el fin de que dicho plan resulte efectivo y útil se insistió en la necesidad de tener en consideración la problemática actual del sector y tener presente que no ha de centrarse exclusivamente en ayudas públicas sino en definir el papel de las asociaciones y de las empresas.

Encinas, Puertas Uniarte-Presidente del Centro Tecnológico de la Madera; Miguel Soler, Director General de FP del Ministerio de Educación, y Juan Ángel Lafuente, Profesor de Universidad. Foto 2: Juan Serrano, Director Regional de Empresas de Caja Mediterráneo y Francesc de Paula Pons, Secretario General de Federmueble en el momento de la firma.Asimismo Francesc de Paula Pons, Secretario General de Federmueble, quiso reflexionar sobre el momento de dificultad económica que está viviendo la industria española de la madera y el mueble y como se está notando en el descenso del número de empresas, número de trabajadores y en las cifras de exportación debido al proceso de globalización de los mercados internacionales. Por todo ello, Pons destacó que desde la federación se está trabajando en un plan de apoyo que pretende hacer más competitivo al sector adaptándolo al nuevo escenario, así como paliar las consecuencias negativas que puedan derivarse para los trabajadores y para los territorios. El proyecto contempla medidas específicas del Plan del Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio y una serie de medidas específicas en Materia Laboral.

Alfredo Roé, Presidente de Federmueble, insistió en que ante el momento de dificultades que está viviendo el sector, debemos ser conscientes de la necesidad de modernizar las empresas que aumenten su tamaño y, en definitiva, que sean capaces de desarrollar nuevos productos, invertir en marca y en una potente red de distribución, innovando y formando, porque de este modo conseguirán ser más competitivas.

En la Asamblea también se aprobó la memoria de actividades 2007 y la memoria económica de la federación.
