El pasado 24 de abril falleció Anton Hettich, socio director y presidente del consejo asesor del Grupo Hettich. Tenía 91 años.

Anton Hettich, socio director y presidente del Consejo Asesor del Grupo Hettich, falleció el 24 de abril a la edad de 91 años tras una breve pero grave enfermedad. Anton Hettich era socio de la empresa familiar de Schramberg desde 1949. Tras la temprana muerte de su padre en 1956, se convirtió en miembro de la dirección a la edad de 27 años. En enero de 1959, tras la separación legal de la empresa matriz en la Selva Negra, se convirtió en presidente del Consejo de Administración de Paul Hettich GmbH & Co. KG en Herford.

En 1991, pasó a formar parte del Consejo Asesor donde se mantuvo hasta 2016, cuando terminó su mandato como presidente. Gracias a su compromiso y riqueza de ideas, convirtió a la compañía en una empresa de éxito internacional. Muchos desarrollos técnicos y nuevas sedes se crearon bajo su liderazgo.

Además de su trayectoria dentro del Grupo Hettich, Anton Hettich también ejerció numerosos cargos honoríficos en el ámbito empresarial e institucional. Así, durante diez años, fue presidente del East Westphalia-Lippe Entrepreneurs Group. También fue vicepresidente de la Cámara de Industria y Comercio de East Westphalia en Bielefeld durante varios años. Y presidente honorario del Industrievereinigung Möbelzubehör (IVM) en Düsseldorf. Asimismo, en la década de 1970, ejerció como concejal en Herford por la CDU.

Otra de las facetas más destacables del fallecido fue su compromiso social que le valió recibir varios reconocimientos, como la Orden del Mérito de Hesse o la Cruz Federal al Mérito. Además, para promover la educación y la formación de niños y jóvenes creó en 1992 la fundación que lleva su nombre, a la que en 2019, aumentó su capital hasta los 14 millones de euros.

Pare el Grupo, la marcha de Anton Hettich deja un gran vacío. Su familia, los accionistas, la dirección, el consejo asesor y todo el equipo de Hettich lamentan su pérdida y lo tendrán siempre de ejemplo para seguir haciendo avanzar la compañía.
