Electrolux ultima la compra de una fábrica en Ucrania

Electrolux está ultimando los detalles para adquirir una fábrica de lavadoras en Ivano-Frankivsk (Ucrania), con el objetivo de ampliar sus operaciones en los crecientes mercados emergentes de Europa del Este.

La fábrica, especializada en la producción de lavadoras, cuenta con unos 150 empleados y fue adquirida en 2003 por su actual propietario, Antonio Merloni SpA. El precio de compra es de 19 millones de euros. El cierre del acuerdo se espera que tenga lugar en el primer trimestre de 2011 y está sujeto a la aprobación de las autoridades de competencia.

Según Hans Stråberg, Presidente y CEO de Electrolux, con esta adquisición, Electrolux conseguirá reforzar su presencia en Europa oriental y contará con una nueva  base para el abastecimiento de sus mercados en Europa Central y Oriental. Ucrania participa dentro del marco de libre comercio dentro de la Comunidad de Estados Independientes (CEI), que incluye a Rusia, Kazajstán, Armenia, Azerbaiyán y otros países.
