Electrolux recomienda electrodomésticos más eficientes para proteger la capa de ozono

Hoy, Día Mundial para la Conservación de la Capa de Ozono, el Grupo Electrolux recuerda que España podría ahorrar más de 1 tonelada de emisiones de CO2 al año si los hogares cambiaran sus viejos electrodomésticos.

Esta es la principal conclusión del estudio Eco Savings, realizado por la firma en 22 países europeos, y en el que se destacan los efectos beneficiosos para el medio ambiente que tienen los electrodomésticos eficientes, gracias a su menor consumo de agua y electricidad, lo que implica una reducción de las emisiones a la atmósfera.  
 
En concreto, los resultados para España se basan en la situación hipotética de que los hogares de la muestra reemplazaran todos los electrodomésticos de más de diez años de antigüedad por otros más eficientes, los denominados de clasificación energética A o superior.
 
Las variables para el ahorro son, además de las emisiones de CO2, el ahorro económico, eléctrico y de agua que se produciría en tal supuesto.
 
Según Electrolux, el ahorro anual en términos económicos que alcanzaría España con esta medida sería de cerca de 175 millones de euros, y en términos energéticos, de casi 1.400 millones de kWh. Esta cantidad es equivalente al gasto que se generaría si todos los hogares de la muestra dejaran encendida una bombilla de 60W durante dos meses.
