Electrolux anuncia medidas para reducir costes

Electrolux despedirá a unos 3.000 trabajadores en todo el mundo, (el 5% de su plantilla mundial) por la caída de la demanda en las dos últimas semanas de noviembre y el comienzo de diciembre.

La medida se implementará entre lo que queda de año y 2009, y ocasionará unos gastos de 1.200 millones de coronas (112 millones de euros) en el último parcial de 2008.

Electrolux espera ahorrarse 1.100 millones (103 millones de euros) anuales a partir de 2010 con este recorte.

Las ventas en diciembre son habitualmente bajas, por lo que existe un riesgo de que los ingresos operativos del mes sean "ligeramente" negativos, señala en un comunicado la compañía, que añade que no alcanzará en 2008 los resultados esperados.
