El secretario general de CEI-Bois visita CONFEMADERA Hábitat

CONFEMADERA Hábitat ha sido la anfitriona del nuevo secretario general de la patronal europea de la madera, CEI-Bois. Philip Buisseret ha visitado las instalaciones de las empresas TCM y Fabricados Reyna.

La Confederación Española de Empresas de la Madera (CONFEMADERA Hábitat) ha ejercido hoy de anfitriona en la primera visita a España del nuevo secretario general de la patronal europea de la madera CEI-Bois, el belga Philip Buisseret, en el cargo desde el pasado 1 de enero. Según la patronal española del sector de la madera, se trata de una visita que abre una nueva etapa con grandes expectativas de colaboración.

Acompañado del presidente, del secretario General, la vicesecretaria y el representante de la patronal española en la Confederación Europea (respectivamente Francis Huidobro, Francesc de Paula Pons, Beatriz del Castillo y Raúl Agulló), Buisseret ha visitado las instalaciones de dos empresas del sector ubicadas en la comunidad de Madrid: TCM, dedicada a la carpintería y fabricación de ventanas de madera, y Fabricados Reyna, empresa dedicada al rechapado y melaminizado, así como a la distribución de melaminas y tableros. A continuación, han visitado la sede de CONFEMADERA HÁBITAT, donde han mantenido una reunión en la que el nuevo representante del sector europeo de la madera y el mueble ha tomado el pulso a la realidad de esta industria en España.

Además, los representantes de CONFEMADERA Hábitat han trasladado al nuevo dirigente de CEI-Bois los principales temas en los que la patronal española está trabajando de cara a conseguir su apoyo ante la Comisión Europea en beneficio del sector, como es la huella de carbono y las declaraciones ambientales de productos de madera, rehabilitación y reforma de viviendas, diligencia debida, polvo de madera o el formaldehído, entre otros.

En palabras del Presidente de CONFEMADERA Hábitat, Francis Huidobro: En estos momentos, más que nunca, es importante remar todos juntos para sobrevivir a la tormenta y, si es posible, salir reforzados de ella, porque todos estamos en el mismo barco. Por eso -continúa Huidobro- hemos querido ponernos desde el primer momento a disposición del nuevo Secretario General de CEI-Bois para detectar y desarrollar sinergias entre ambas instituciones, así como para impulsar proyectos y actividades que redunden en beneficio del sector de la madera y el mueble español y europeo.
