CONFEMADERA Hábitat organizó una Misión Comercial directa a Panamá del 18 al 22 de noviembre con el apoyo del ICEX.

En esta misión, que se enmarca dentro del Plan Sectorial de Exportación de Productos de Madera 2013, tiene como objetivo establecer las bases para el posicionamiento del comercio español en este territorio y entablar nuevas relaciones comerciales con potenciales clientes. En ella han participado seis empresas españolas del sector de la madera. 

El crecimiento de la construcción en Panamá, oportunidad para las empresas españolas

Panamá está atravesando una coyuntura económica favorable debido al auge  del sector de la construcción. Este sector representó para la economía panameña en el primer trimestre de 2013 el 9% del PIB, estimándose un incremento anual para este año del 30%. Este fuerte crecimiento del sector inmobiliario ha supuesto un aumento de la demanda de productos de madera como puertas, ventanas, suelos  y maderas para otras aplicaciones. 

Según Carlos Fernández de Maderas del Noroeste, S.A., La misión ha sido muy positiva. Panamá es un país que está creciendo a un ritmo muy fuerte gracias al pleno auge de la construcción. Para las empresas españolas es una buena oportunidad ya que carecen tanto de grandes distribuidores de materiales como de fabricación de productos de madera.
