El grupo Fagor Electrodomésticos registró en el primer semestre un beneficio neto de 164.000 euros frente a los 7,9 millones obtenidos un año antes.

Esta acusada bajada de los resultados es achacada por la compañía a la caída de las ventas y al efecto de la huelga de transportes de junio.

Las cuentas remitidas por el grupo a la Comisión Nacional del Mercado de Valores (CNMV) muestran una cifra de negocio de 841,8 millones de euros, el 5,5% menos que un año antes debido a las menores ventas en el mercado español.

La facturación de la línea blanca (grandes electrodomésticos) cedió el 4%, hasta los 745,4 millones de euros, mientras que las ventas del resto de productos (pequeños electrodomésticos, confort y muebles de cocina) cayeron el 9%, hasta 134 millones.

Fagor, integrada en Mondragón Corporación Cooperativa (MCC), atribuye estos resultados a la "complicada" situación económica que está afectando a muchos sectores industriales, si bien confía en que durante el segundo semestre se suavice la caída de las ganancias.

Para septiembre el grupo tiene prevista la finalización del Plan Estratégico 2009-2012, que apuesta por consolidar la proyección internacional de la compañía y liderar el sector desde el punto de vista de la innovación, además de realizar una clara apuesta por el uso de las energías renovables.
