Se dan a conocer los ganadores de Carved in Stone

Carved in Stone es una competición a través de la cual Cosentino ha instado a estudios de arquitectura y diseño a idear esculturas de mármol inspiradas en el tema de La vida en Marte. Así, los cinco proyectos ganadores son obra de los más prestigiosos estudios de arquitectura y diseño británicos, y están expuestos en el Cosentino City de Londres con motivo del Londres Design Festival.

18.09.2019 Grupo Cosentino ha anunciado los cinco ganadores del concurso Carved in Stone. Esta competición se llevó a cabo en Reino Unido, y en ella se instó a estudios de arquitectura y diseño a crear esculturas de mármol que inspiren La vida en Marte. De esta manera, tradición y futuro se dan la mano en esta iniciativa de Cosentino que se celebra por primera vez.

Por consiguiente, la convocatoria recibió muchos diseños de gran calidad, entre los que resultaron ganadoras cinco propuestas. Concretamente, los proyectos ganadores son obra de los más prestigiosos y galardonados estudios británicos: Cartwright Pickard, Foster + Partners, Hugh Broughton Architects, Ian Ritchie Architects y Tonkin Liu.

London Design Festival

Después, la empresa almeriense Cuéllar Stone talló los diseños en bloques de mármol Macael de 500x500x500 mm. Las cinco espectaculares esculturas viajaron hasta el Cosentino City de Londres, donde están expuestas para formar parte del London Design Festival 2019. Ubicado en 28-32 Old Street, el Cosentino City de Londres es un innovador espacio expositivo que se sitúa en el centro de la ciudad, y rodeado de una destacada comunidad arquitectónica y de diseño. Los asistentes al London Design Festival pueden visitar esta exposición del 16 al 20 de septiembre (10-22 horas) para ver las esculturas y descubrir las historias e inspiraciones que hay detrás de ellas.

Además, el jurado del concurso estuvo formado por el vicepresidente Ejecutivo Global de Ventas y CEO de Cosentino Norteamérica, Eduardo Cosentino; el director de Ventas de Cosentino Reino Unido, Chris Hay; el vicepresidente de Marketing y Comunicación de la compañía, Santiago Alfonso y, también, el vicepresidente de Producto e Innovación, Valentín Tijeras, y el fundador y CEO de Cuéllar Stone, Diego Martínez.
