Cosentino, nueva marca renombrada española

Cosentino ha entrado a formar parte del selecto grupo de marcas renombradas españolas. Esta incorporación ha sido aprobada por unanimidad por los miembros de la Junta Directiva de la Asociación el pasado 5 de junio.

La Junta Directiva del Foro ha valorado a la hora de admitir a Cosentino como nuevo miembro, su elevada cuota de mercado en el mercado doméstico, lo que sitúa a la marca Silestone como líder indiscutible de su sector; así como su amplia implantación internacional.

El Foro de Marcas Renombradas Españolas (FMRE) tiene como objetivo trabajar en el desarrollo, la defensa y la promoción de las marcas españolas renombradas ante las instituciones públicas y privadas competentes, y ante la opinión pública en general. El Foro está compuesto por cuatro organismos integrados en una Fundación: El Ministerio de Industria, Turismo y Comercio , el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores y Cooperación, el Instituto Español de Comercio Exterior (ICEX), y la propia Asociación de Marcas Renombradas Españolas creada en julio de 2001.

En la actualidad Cosentino está presente en más de 50 países. Cuenta con 6 fábricas, 14 canteras, 19 talleres fabricantes y más de 2.000 trabajadores (1.024 en España) repartidos por todo el mundo. El grupo controla y gestiona desde su sede central en Macael (Almería) ocho filiales internacionales: Cosentino USA, Latina Vìtoria, Cosentino Northwest Europe, Cosentino UK, Cosentino Suddeutchland, Cosentino Escandinavia, Cosentino Porto y Cosentino Italia. En 2006 más del 70% de su producción se destinó a la exportación.
