Conforama logra el certificado de energía verde

Conforama obtiene el certificado de energía verde que garantiza que el 100% de su abastecimiento energético es sostenible. La compañía ha implantado en todos sus centros de España métodos de abastecimiento de energías renovables fotovoltaica, termosolar, eólica, hidráulica y de cogeneración.  

11.04.2019 Conforama, la firma europea para el equipamiento y decoración de la casa, obtiene el Certificado de Energía Verde[1] que constata la apuesta de la compañía por el autoconsumo de energías renovables (fotovoltaica, termosolar, eólica, hidráulica y de cogeneración) en todos sus centros de España, incluidas tiendas, almacenes y oficinas.

 

A la luz de los datos publicados por la directiva europea sobre la contaminación y calidad del aire en España, un 24,6% de la población, que representa un total de 11,5 millones de personas respira aire contaminado. Por este motivo, el autoconsumo energético responsable se ha establecido como uno de los proyectos prioritarios en la agenda de Conforama para este 2019. Esta decisión empresarial, tomada de la mano de la consultora energética Medhesa, afianza el compromiso de la firma con el medioambiente y en su lucha contra el cambio climático.

Certificado de Energía Verde

Por ello, y según el actual certificado, la compañía pasará a contar con suministros energéticos renovables de autoconsumo hasta el 30 de junio de 2020. David Almeida, director general de Conforama Iberia, comenta al respecto: Estamos muy contentos de anunciar las medidas sostenibles que desde Conforama estamos implementando. El Certificado de Energía Verde ha pasado a formar parte de la agenda de nuestra empresa, avalando que el 100% de la energía suministrada para abastecer nuestros centros procede de fuentes de energía 100% renovables. Esta es solo una de las medidas que, dé aquí en adelante, Conforama tomará en la reducción de nuestras emisiones de CO2 a la atmósfera.

Así, Conforama cerró 2018 con un total de 39 tiendas en España y 10 en Portugal y más de 2.300 empleos, tras abrir nuevas tiendas en Churra (Murcia), Córdoba, Santander, Castellón, Sagunto (Valencia) y Los Barrios (Cádiz).
