Furniture and wood companies in Spain are seeking a position in the Moroccan market. Morocco is the main destination of Spanish exports sector.
The Spanish Business Confederation of Wood (CONFEMADERA HABITAT) held a direct trade mission to Morocco from 10 to 14 June, in the Export Sector Plan 2013 wood products with the support of the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX).
In this mission seven Spanish companies participated, whose aim has been to establish the basis for positioning the Spanish trade in this territory and establish new business relationships with potential clients.
This market is one of the most attractive for Spanish firms, as Morocco is the main destination of exports of Spanish wood and furniture industry outside the European Union.
Thanks to the close historical ties that bind Morocco and Spain, the positive development of its economy in the construction and furniture industries and the progressive dismantling of tariffs that is occurring at present, Morocco is presented as an ally with projection for Spanish exports.
