Nuevo récord de participación para el concurso de diseño Jumpthegap

La séptima edición de la competición Jumpthegap, organizada por Roca, ha contado con más de 6.000 inscritos de 134 países.

El pasado 19 de abril concluyó el periodo de entrega de proyectos de la séptima edición del concurso internacional de diseño Jumpthegap. Este año, con la participación de 134 países y más de 6.000 inscritos, el concurso, organizado por Roca y con la colaboración de BCD Barcelona Centro de Diseño, bate un nuevo récord.

Nuevo récord de participación para el concurso de diseño Jumpthegap

Este concurso traspasa las fronteras y llega a todos los rincones del mundo: Argentina, Brasil, China, Australia, Rusia, Pakistán, Egipto, Canadá, India y España son algunos de los países participantes. En esta edición, los premios para las categorías de estudiante y profesional aumentan de 6.000 euros a 10.000 euros cada uno, y la categoría de sostenibilidad, que otorga la Fundación We Are Water, aumenta de 3.000 euros a 6.000 euros. Los tres ganadores se descubrirán el próximo mes de octubre en el Disseny Hub Barcelona.

Patrick Schumacher, director de Zaha Hadid Architects, presidente del jurado, está acompañado de relevantes personalidades del mundo del diseño y la arquitectura: Josep Congost (España), director de diseño e innovación de Roca; Vladimir Pirojkov (Rusia), diseñador, CEO del High Commplexity Prototyping Center Kinetica; Benedetta Tagliabue (Italia), arquitecta, directora de EMBT y de la Fundación Enric Miralles; Anjali Srinivasan (India), diseñadora, directora de ChoChoMa; Isabel Roig (España), directora general de BCD Barcelona Design Centre; Valentin Vodev (Bulgaria), diseñador, fundador de Vodev Studio; y Ma Yansong (China), fundador principal de MAD Architects.

El premio especial de la Fundación We Are Water contará con un jurado presidido por Xavier Torras (España), director de la Fundación We Are Water; Sophie Thomas (Reino Unido), directora y fundadora de Thomas Matthews Agency; y Henk WJ Ovink, enviado especial para asuntos internacionales del agua de los Países Bajos.
