Con 65 solicitudes de patentes, BSH Electrodomésticos España ocupa la segunda posición de ?Los diez mayores solicitantes de patentes nacionales en 2008? tras el Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas.

Según el listado publicado recientemente por la Oficina Española de Patentes y Marcas (OEPM) en su Memoria de Actividades 2008, BSH Electrodomésticos España es la empresa industrial que más solicitudes de patentes nacionales ha presentado en el año 2008.

En España BSH cuenta con seis centros de competencia: inducción en Montañana (Zaragoza); lavado en La Cartuja (Zaragoza); bomba de calor y lavavajillas compactos en Estella (Navarra); cocción a gas en Santander y planchado en la fábrica de Vitoria, donde desarrollan dichas tecnologías para todas las plantas del grupo distribuidas en los cinco continentes.

A lo largo del año 2008 la compañía destinó más de 20 millones de euros en investigación y desarrollo, dando empleo a más de 200 personas en este campo. Además de las citadas 65 solicitudes de patente contabilizadas en la estadística, también se solicitaron 6 solicitudes de Modelo de Utilidad y 3 solicitudes de Patente Europea, todas a nombre de BSH Electrodomésticos España S.A. y 14 solicitudes de Patente nacional a nombre de BSH Krainel S.A., muchas de ellas materializadas en proyectos todavía en desarrollo y en nuevos productos como el nuevo lavavajillas compacto recientemente lanzado al mercado europeo.

La posición obtenida en este ránking no es fruto del azar: responde a una firme estrategia de apuesta por la innovación y protección de la misma. El Grupo BSH Bosch und Siemens Hausgeräte GmbH, al que pertenece BSH España, con 468 solicitudes de patente en 2008 forma parte del “top ten” de solicitantes de patentes en Alemania, según la última Memoria de Actividades publicada por la Oficina Alemana de Patentes y Marcas. Robert Bosch GmbH, con 2.645 solicitudes y Siemens AG, con 1.741 ocupan, respectivamente las dos primeras posiciones.
