Augusto Araneta, Director Financiero de Fagor Electrodomésticos, ha sido elegido como uno de los 100 mejores Directores Financieros, según la revista Actualidad Económica y la firma de servicios profesionales y consultoría KPMG.

 
Augusto Araneta, ha sido galardonado con esta distinción que evalúa su trayectoria profesional y reconoce su mérito en el mundo empresarial.El ranking de los 100 directivos seleccionados, publicado el 23 de febrero, ha sido elaborado para destacar la excelencia en la función financiera y está  basado en un estudio que abarca a más de 2.000 empresas nacionales.

Esta distinción nacional reconoce la labor y la dedicación profesional en el mundo de la empresa y pretende resaltar el papel decisivo de los directores en época de crisis económica.

Nacido en la localidad de Ordizia en 1960, Araneta es licenciado en Ciencias Económicas, en la especialidad de Hacienda Pública (Máster en Dirección de Empresas por Ikasbide). Desde 1988 y hasta el año 2000, fue director Financiero en Fagor Arrasate S. Coop. Durante los tres años posteriores (hasta 2003);, ocupó el puesto de Director General de Fagor Arrasate USA, momento a partir del cual pasó a ser el Director Financiero del Grupo Maier S. Coop hasta 2007. Desde entonces y hasta ahora, es el actual Director Financiero del Grupo Fagor Electrodomésticos, cargo por el que ha obtenido este galardón.
