En enero de 2013 entró en vigor la ley orgánica 7/2012, que establece penas de prisión de entre 1 y 5 años para los errores de cotización a la Seguridad Social que excedan los 50.000 euros.

La situación económica actual y las necesidades de financiación de la Seguridad Social, unida a las normativas que recientemente han entrado en vigor, hacen prever para los próximos meses un incremento de actividad de la inspección de trabajo.

La aplicación indebida de bonificaciones y ocupaciones y la incorrecta cotización de retribuciones, como bonos, incentivos, horas extras, determinados pluses, atrasos, etc., han sido una práctica habitual en la que han incurrido muchas empresas.
