AEIM presentará en Maderalia el Directorio de la Madera 2016

La Asociación Española del Comercio e Industria de la Madera (AEIM) presentará en la próxima feria Maderalia, que se celebrará en Valencia del 2 al 5 de febrero, el nuevo Directorio de la Madera que contiene el catálogo de empresas asociadas y una guía básica sobre las especies de madera de coníferas, frondosas y tropicales más comerciales en nuestro mercado. Además también incluye información de interés sobre los beneficios ambientales de consumir madera. La publicación se entregará de forma gratuita en el stand de AEIM: pabellón 8, nivel 2, stand E23, en la zona denominada la Plaza de la Madera.

Este espacio se ha consolidado año tras año como el área de Maderalia para la “madera auténtica”, y se presenta como uno de los principales atractivos del certamen. Aquí el visitante profesional podrá contemplar y palpar directamente las prestaciones y el encanto de la madera maciza, y podrá sentarse y descansar sobre paquetes de diversas especies de maderas de coníferas, frondosas y tropicales aportadas por las empresas expositoras.

Además, esta zona agrupa la exposición conjunta de ocho empresas asociadas en AEIM. En concreto, además del stand propio de la Asociación, las empresas de AEIM que expondrán en Maderalia son: AE Maderas, Agrumaca, Maderas y Chapas Blanquer, Gabarró Hermanos, Green Resources, Maderas del Noroeste, Tamalsa Europa y Vallsfusta.

La participación de AEIM en la feria Maderalia, así como la edición del Directorio de la Madera 2016, se llevan a cabo en colaboración con American Softwoods (organización que agrupa a los productores de coníferas de Estados Unidos) y el proyecto STTC (Sustainable Tropical Timber Coalition), que pretende promover la madera tropical legal, sostenible y preferiblemente certificada. Además, la propia feria Maderalia ha colaborado activamente en dicha exposición agrupada y en la Plaza de la Madera.

La importancia de la madera como material natural y renovable cada vez está adquiriendo mayor relevancia dentro de la construcción sostenible, dado que su transformación requiere muy poca energía, además puede reciclarse tras su vida útil. En una economía baja de carbono, según los acuerdos y compromisos alcanzados en la reciente Cumbre del Clima de Paris, el consumo de madera resulta un bien ambiental de enorme importancia, dado que no sólo contribuye a reducir las emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero sino que actúa como sumidero de CO2.
