Ikea y Leroy Merlín, sancionadas por el Ayuntamiento de Sabadell

El Ayuntamiento de Sabadell ha multado a Ikea y Leroy Merlin con un total de 720.000 euros por anomalías en el Impuesto de Actividades Económicas (IAE). El consistorio ha abierto un expediente a varios centros comerciales que tributaban como tienda especializada y no como gran superficie.

24.07.2017-. Según explicó el gobierno municipal a El País, estos grandes comercios podrán haberse ahorrado hasta 1,45 millones de euros entre 2012 y 2015. Los centros comerciales defienden que Hacienda avaló este tipo de tributación y han presentado un recurso a los tribunales.

En el año 2015 el nuevo Ayuntamiento de Sabadell formado tras las últimas elecciones municipales revisó los impuestos que pagaban los diferentes centros comerciales de la ciudad y se dio cuenta que los situados en el nuevo polígono de Sant Pau Riu Sec (Ikea, Leroy Merlin y Conforama) estaban tributando como pequeño comercio. En julio de 2016, el Ayuntamiento abrió un expediente a estas tres empresas reclamándoles la regularización de los impuestos pendientes, un total de 1,45 millones, desde 2012 (año que abrieron los comercios) a 2015.

Desde Ikea admiten que se dieron de alta en diferentes epígrafes del IAE y afirman que en ningún caso han evadido o eludido impuestos o cometido ninguna irregularidad, aunque admiten que ha modificado el alta en el IAE a raíz de esta sanción y ahora tributa como gran superficie. Después de la regularización, el consistorio les ha impuesto una sanción por un importe global de 720.000 euros por infracción tributaria grave, al no haber hecho correctamente, en opinión del gobierno municipal, el alta del IAE.
