Reconocimiento para Cosentino por su proyecto de neutralidad en carbono para Dekton

Grupo Cosentino ha vuelto a ver reconocida su apuesta por la sostenibilidad y la gestión medioambiental, tras ser incluida en los 101 Ejemplos Empresariales de Acciones #PorElClima 2020 de España, por la neutralidad en carbono de Dekton.

Esta distinción la organiza y entrega la Comunidad #PorElClima, una entidad que está auspiciada por el Ministerio de Transición Ecológica; Red Española del Pacto Mundial de la ONU; Forética; Fundación Biodiversidad; el Club de Excelencia de Sostenibilidad; o ECODES, entre otras instituciones.

De esta manera, el mencionado reconocimiento subraya la apuesta que la multinacional almeriense de superficies para arquitectura y diseño está llevando a cabo por la descarbonización del planeta así como su aportación a la mitigación del Cambio Climático. En este caso la distinción para Grupo Cosentino ha sido por su proyecto de Neutralidad en Carbono para su material Dekton. También, destaca los esfuerzos realizados por la compañía para conseguir una economía verde además del conjunto de iniciativas de reducción y compensación puestas en marcha durante los tres últimos años.

Dekton by Cosentino, neutro en carbono

Hay que recodar que durante el pasado mes de septiembre, la superficie ultracompacta Dekton, obtuvo la declaración de producto “Neutro en Carbono”. Esta neutralidad ha quedado acreditada de forma íntegra para todo el ciclo de vida de Dekton. Ello significa que cubre los Alcances 1, 2 y 3; desde la extracción de la materia prima, hasta el uso del producto y el final de su vida. Se trata de un logro que forma parte de la mentalidad de Cosentino y que está en línea con las intensas medidas implantadas por la compañía a lo largo de los últimos años para lograr una mayor eficiencia tanto energética como en el consumo de recursos, mediante el uso de electricidad renovable o sus políticas de movilidad sostenible.

La distinción 101 Ejemplos Empresariales de Acciones #PorElClima, ya en su tercera edición, se ha consolidado como una de las iniciativas actuales más relevantes destinadas a visibilizar las actuaciones de las empresas españolas para frenar el colapso climático y ambiental; abordar las desigualdades sociales; generar oportunidades de crecimiento y mejorar la resiliencia de las organizaciones.

En la edición de este año, cuya presentación oficial tuvo lugar el pasado martes, también fueron distinguidas las firmas almerienses Cajamar y Biorizon Biotech.
