Premio para un proyecto de arquitectura sostenible con MDi de Inalco

Una típica barraca valenciana realizada de manera sostenible, y en la que se han empleado dos colecciones MDi de Inalco, es el resultado del galardonado Proyecto Azalea.

28.08.2019 Tras un mes en la final de Solar Decathlon Europe 2019, la competición universitaria de mayor prestigio internacional sobre vivienda sostenible, el proyecto Azalea de la Universitat Politècnica de València, con la colaboración de MDi de Inalco, ha logrado el primer premio en la categoría más importante, Arquitectura, en la gala final celebrada en el Event Hall de Szentendre (Hungría).

Para este proyecto, se ha contado con dos colecciones MDI de Inalco. Touché se empleó en la cocina y Pacific Blanco Plus en la fachada ventilada, contribuyendo a la sostenibilidad, principal objetivo del proyecto.

Azalea es el resultado de la labor de un equipo formado por 45 estudiantes. Los jóvenes han trabajado sin descanso para lograr construir la barraca en la localidad húngara en apenas dos semanas. Durante otras dos semanas, el proyecto se ha sometido sometido a exigentes análisis por parte de una decena de jurados. Finalmente, éstos le han otorgado el primer premio en la categoría de Arquitectura, el segundo en Eficiencia Energética y el tercero en Ingeniería y Construcción. Además, en su primera participación en el certamen, ha finalizado como mejor equipo español de Europa, al ser el único en conseguir una puntuación de 100 sobre 100.
