El sector de la madera y el mueble andaluz pide un Plan Renove

El sector de la madera y el mueble en Andalucía prepara un Plan Renove de ayudas al consumo para el mueble, para paliar la caída del 52% del empleo en la región en los últimos 10 años. Así, esperan presentarlo ante la administración autonómica en diciembre.

24.07.2019 Según la noticia publicada en Andalucía Información, el sector andaluz de la madera y el mueble sufrió duramente la crisis económica entre 2008 y 2018, y en Andalucía la situación empeoró con el cierre del Centro Tecnológico de la Madera de Lucena (Córdoba). Todo ello se desprendió de las declaraciones en rueda de prensa del presidente de la Asociación de Empresarios de la Madera y el Mueble de Córdoba (Uniema), Enrique Fernández.

También, Fernández informó que en la última década se redujeron un 39% las empresas de la madera y el mueble en Andalucía. En 2017, último año del que se tienen datos oficiales, las empresas andaluzas facturaron 642 millones de euros, un 0,41 por ciento del PIB de la región, aunque la facturación cayó un 57% en los últimos 10 años. El sector de la madera y el mueble cuenta ahora con con 9.094 trabajadores, un 52% menos que en 2013.

Asimismo, el presidente de Uniema cree que el sector se encuentra en una buena posición para crecer, aunque es necesario que las instituciones públicas favorezcan la formación especializada en innovación y desarrollo, y por eso pidió a la Junta que apoye un plan de renovación del mueble con ayudas al consumo, asegurando que España es de los países europeos en los que más se tarda en cambiar el mobiliario doméstico.
