08.10.2018 La compañía de venta de muebles y decoración online Made.com llega a España con el propósito ofrecer un diseño de calidad accesible para todo el mundo. Implantada en ocho países europeos (Reino Unido, Irlanda, Alemania, Francia, Países Bajos, Austria, Bélgica y Suiza), la compañía llega a país con un equipo de más de 100 diseñadores especializados, de la talla de Stuart Padwick, Philippe Colbert, Desormeaux Carette y Allegra Hicks, entre otros. Además, la compañía ha creado fuertes lazos con diseñadores españoles emergentes y establecidos, como uno de los miembros de Cate & Nelson.

Made.com generó, el pasado año, ingresos de 143 millones de euros y en marzo de este año recibió una importante ronda de inversión por valor de 45 millones de euros para continuar con sus planes de expansión. Estos ingresos suponen un aumento de más del 40% respecto al año anterior, con más del 40% procedentes de su negocio internacional, frente al 35% en 2016.

Modelo de negocio

La compañía, que cuenta con 350 empleados, trabaja directamente con fabricantes y artesanos, sin intermediarios, lo que permite ofrecer precios competitivos. Otra de las características de su modelo de negocio es que fabrica en función de la demanda de sus clientes, por lo que el 80% de sus productos se venden antes de llegar al almacén.

Gran parte de su éxito, según afirman, se basa en que su gama de artículos se amplía y renueva semana tras semana en su página web, gracias a colecciones que se presentan semanalmente e incluyen desde grandes y pequeños muebles para el hogar hasta objetos de decoración. Inspirado en el concepto Fast-Fashion, Made.com recoge las últimas tendencias en decoración de colores, formas y materiales y las adapta a sus propuestas para que el cliente pueda tener su hogar a la última y a precios asequibles.

La empresa de origen británico cuenta con una red de showrooms, ubicados en las principales capitales europeas como Londres, París, Ámsterdam, Berlín, Birmingham y West Yorkshire, en los que sus clientes pueden ver, probar e incluso llevarse una muestra del producto que más les guste, además de disfrutar de eventos y actividades culturales que se realizan todos los meses.
