Electrolux empeora sus resultados

Durante el primer semestre de 2008 Electrolux obtuvo unas ventas netas de 49.780 millones de coronas suecas (5.253 millones de euros), un 1,8% menos que durante el primer semestre de 2007.

El beneficio operativo cayó casi un 85% hasta los 249 millones de coronas suecas (26,28 millones de euros) y los beneficios netos fueron negativos, -7 millones de coronas suecas (-738.700 euros). Las ganancias de la multinacional en el mismo período un año antes ascendió a los 1.037 millones de coronas suecas (109,4 millones de euros).

El director ejecutivo de la firma sueca, Hans Stråberg, ha declarado en un comunicado que a pesar de estos datos, los resultados del segundo trimestre del año fueron mejor que los de 2007, excluyendo los costes de lanzamiento de una nueva gama de electrodomésticos en América del Norte.

La buena respuesta de los mercados latinoamericano y asiático ayudaron a elevar el resultado, por encima de lo esperado por los analistas.

La compañía espera cerrar 2008 con un beneficio operativo de entre 3.300 y 3.900 millones de coronas suecas (348,2 – 411,6 millones de euros), teniendo en cuenta que el mercado europeo de electrodomésticos caerá un 1-2%, y el norteamericano, un 5-8%.
