Nuevo modelo de tienda Ikea en Londres

Los londinenses serán los primeros en probar la Ikea city store, que ofrecerá una selección de productos en el centro de la ciudad.

En Londres, una ciudad de nueve millones de habitantes, Ikea cuenta con cuatro grandes superficies en Wembley, Edmonton, Croydon y Lakeside. Ahora, la compañía sueca planea abrir un nuevo modelo de tienda en Oxford Street, la calle más comercial de la ciudad de Londres, donde será posible pedir y recoger muebles y artículos de decoración, así como comprar en el momento una pequeña selección de productos.

Ikea.

Según publica hoy Expansión, el objetivo de esta nueva fórmula es acercar el producto a los clientes que viven lejos de sus grandes tiendas, generalmente en las afueras de las ciudades. La empresa está en negociaciones para quedarse con el edificio que hasta ahora ocupaba la cadena de moda BHF. Hace dos semanas abrió una tienda de estas características en la localidad de Norwich, con una superficie de 2.000 m2, y en primavera inaugurará otra similar en Aberdeen.

El modelo resultaría especialmente útil en lugares como España, donde todavía no es posible comprar por Internet.
