Marmomacc will dedicate the most of its 50th edition to become the stage to celebrate Italian excellence in this sector.
First and foremost, a special project will be dedicated to Made in Italy: The Italian Stone Theatre will occupy an entire Hall to host displays of 100% Italian stone processing technologies and experiments with materials. A marvellous celebratory event that will involve not only stone materials but also machinery and technology: inasmuch, the ingenuity of designers will be paired with the professionalism, construction skills, technical and productive expertise of Italian companies and machinery.
The second initiative is the International Stone Summit – the first ever dedicated to natural stone that will bring together the main international natural stone associations and an equal number of trade press representatives from the countries involved in order to develop content and stimulate discussions and debate about natural stone. This prestigious meeting will begin on September 30. It will involve representatives of the Ministry, the President of Veronafiere and Confindustria Marmomacchine delegates who will illustrate the main worldwide sector dossiers and projects developed by the Italian Government.
This will be followed by meetings between the various associations to analyse specific themes and set in motion possible international cooperation projects and bilateral agreements in order to develop sector relationships. These activities will be backed up by interviews involving associations, delegated and journalists attending the event to gather insights on a global scale. Each Association will be invited to provide a written report for publication in Proceedings of the Summit, which will close on October 1.
Delegates and journalists will also be among the guests of honour at the Gala Evening organised in the Palazzo della Gran Guardia within the scope of celebrations for Marmomacc@¬#s 50th anniversary.
From 28 September to 6 October, Verona will also welcome an important international delegation comprising 100 buyers and 100 architects who will not only take visit the trade fair and meet exhibiting companies during specific b2b events but will also have the chance to visit companies and quarries in the local area. A dedicated area between Halls 2 and 3 – the Stone Design & Stone Technology Conference – these architects will also attend professional training courses focusing on the use of stone, while the other participants will be offered specific courses dealing with various machining technologies.
Within the scope of action to develop and promote culture and business in this sector, in the wake of huge success achieved at the last edition of Marmomacc confirming growing interest in the event on the part of national and international operators, this impressive, informative, cultural and promotional programme of events is a perfect match for 50th anniversary celebrations.
