Los trabajadores de Xey solicitan al Gobierno Vasco un nuevo socio inversor

Esta semana estaba previsto que los trabajadores de Muebles Xey de Zumaia acudieran a Vitoria para reunirse con el Gobierno Vasco y solicitarle que siga buscando un socio inversor aunque la compañía entre en liquidación.

El comité de empresa de Xey se reunió el pasado 6 de julio, según informaciones del Diario Vasco, con el administrador concursal para tratar de conocer más detalles de las causas que han llevado a Xey a solicitar el concurso de acreedores, en primer lugar, y a pedir la liquidación de la planta después tras comprobar que no se podía llegar a un acuerdo con los acreedores y que no se concretaba una nueva ampliación de capital o la entrada de un inversor industrial, en segundo lugar. Esta semana estaba previsto que solicitasen al Gobierno Vasco que continuara en la búsqueda de un socio inversor.

XeyLa plantilla supo el pasado miércoles que la dirección solicitará la liquidación de la empresa esta semana al no poder hacer frente a una deuda que ronda los 30 millones de euros entre entidades de crédito, proveedores y trabajadores.

Tal como publica El Mundo, 170 trabajadores perderán en breve su puesto de trabajo si cierra la empresa. Xey se halla en concurso de acreedores desde el pasado 1 de junio porque carece de fondos suficientes para hacer frente a sus deudas.
