Far more registrations already have been received than for the 1st edition. This trade fair concept, innovative, appeal and target-oriented, ensures good response from exhibitors and visitors.
Thanks to a creative and target-oriented trade fair concept, the Imm Cologne has been enjoying an upswing for years. The establishment of the LivingInteriors and LivingKitchen formats, which are held parallel to the imm cologne, has resulted in a continuous increase in exhibitor and visitor figures since 2011. This past January, 140,000 visitors – almost 40,000 of whom were international trade visitors – came to discover the wide-ranging spectrum of furniture and furnishings on show in the Cologne exhibition halls. And the signs for the coming event in January 2014 are very positive indeed. As compared to 2011, Koelnmesse has already received three times as many registrations for LivingInteriors: this segment alone has currently attracted more than 70 exhibitors – a figure that underlines the industry@¬#s high acceptance of the new format. Those who have already signed up include many famous brands from Germany and abroad such as Bauwerk, Bembé, Vorwerk, Deutsches Tapeten-Institut, ICI, Geberit, Grohe, Markilux, Saunalux and Samsung Chemical Products.
The atmosphere in the Cologne exhibition halls will thus be even more varied, creative and lively in 2014. At the LivingInteriors premiere in 2012, the Cologne trade fair corporation was already able to celebrate gratifying success as a result of broadening the trade fair concept to include bathrooms, flooring, wall coverings and lighting: by focussing on these new areas, it was able to appeal to new groups of exhibitors and visitors. The special exhibition and the central idea behind it – "beautiful spaces sell beautiful furniture" – is particularly inspiring for planning professionals such as designers, interior designers and architects. But consumers are evidently just as enthusiastic about the new trade fair format, for rather than looking for individual pieces of furniture or individual items that are totally unconnected with one another, today@¬#s customers are in search of complete concepts for their homes – as the current popularity of various interior design shows on TV goes to show. This is precisely what the imm cologne presents – in a very special form.
The event-like character of the format sets it apart: LivingInteriors quite simply puts people in the mood for interior design. On the Saturday, for instance, Ms. Eva Brenner will be inviting visitors to take part in a creative planning day.
In January 2014, the Cologne exhibition centre will once again be transformed into one of the widest-ranging and most richly varied furniture and interior design shows in the world. As such, it will provide important impetus for the new business year: mattresses and sleep systems will be on show in Halls 9 and 5.2, living room and bedroom furniture in Halls 2.1, 3.1, 4.1, 5.1 and 10.1, Young Lifestyles will be housed in Halls 7 and 8, upholstered furniture in Halls 6 and 10.2, modern furnishing design, visionary product concepts, stylish high-end collections and creative interior design in Halls 11, 3.2 and 2.2. And holistic interior and furnishing concepts for bathrooms, flooring, wall coverings and lighting in conjunction with home textiles for interior decoration – better known as the LivingInteriors format – will be ensuring a lively atmosphere in Hall 4.2. The (new) event alternates with LivingKitchen and is held every two years.
The next dual exhibition Imm cologne LivingInteriors will take place from 13-19 January 2014,
