Cuba will search materials for ten construction projects in Construmat

The high quality showed by the industry of the construction of Spain has motivated the interest of the Cuban authorities – the sector can offer products of quality and innovative answers to the current needs of the Cuban constructors, especially in the process of modernisation of the Cuban infrastructures and in the rehabilitation of the historical centre of the capital (Old Habana).

The presence of Cuba in Construmat will be visible with the organisation of the First Forum Spain-Cuba of the Construction in that Cuban representatives will give to know to the Spanish employers of the construction, by means of presentations and reports, the opportunities of business that offers the caribbean country.

The Cuban economy has grown 3,1% in 2012, consolidating the posiitive tendency initiated already in 2011 thanks to the recovery of the tourism and to the first effects of the economic opening measures promoted by the Government chaired by Raúl Castro. In accordance with the analysis of the Commercial Office of the Spanish embassy in The Habana, this growth has sustentado in two basic pillars: the investment in goods of team and house.
