Leroy Merlin invertirá 100 millones en España y abrirá siete nuevas tiendas

La multinacional francesa del bricolaje alcanza los 1.461 millones de euros en ventas durante 2011, con más de 140 millones de artículos vendidos.

Durante 2011, Leroy Merlin ha invertido 73 millones de euros en España, destinados principalmente a la apertura de la nueva tienda de Toledo, a la ampliación de la tienda de Badalona, a la mejora de los procesos logísticos y a la generación de empleo estable.

Así, durante el pasado año se han creado 160 nuevos puestos de trabajo directos. En la actualidad, Leroy Merlin cuenta con más de 8.000 colaboradores.

Inauguración en Córdoba

Para este año, Leroy Merlin prevé invertir más de 100 millones de euros en sus nuevas aperturas en España y creará aproximadamente 1.000 puestos de trabajo directos y 210 indirectos.

Está prevista la apertura de siete nuevas tiendas, la primera de ellas inaugurada recientemente en Córdoba, y 2 transfers de tienda a instalaciones más amplias con el objetivo de mejorar el servicio y facilitar la compra a sus clientes. En los próximos meses se abrirán tres nuevas tiendas en las ciudades de Elche, Sabadell y Albacete, y en junio de 2012 se reabrirá la tienda de Majadahonda, con una inversión de 20 millones de euros.

 

Además, una de las prioridades para Leroy Merlin durante este año es aumentar el número de productos disponibles para compra a través de su página web, apostando claramente por la venta multicanal. El objetivo para 2012 es alcanzar la disponibilidad de 30.000 productos en sus plataformas de venta online y telefónica.
