Formica consigue cumplir la Normativa Reach

Formica Group se complace en anunciar el cumplimiento en todas sus plantas europeas de la normativa Reach, dando así un paso más en su programa de sostenibilidad y su permanente compromiso en materia medioambiental.

Regulado y monitorizado por la Agencia Europea de Sustancias Químicas (ECHA), con sede en Finlandia, REACH (Registro, Evaluación, Autorización y Restricción de sustancias químicas) es un marco regulatorio que respalda los objetivos de la Unión Europea de controlar el mercado europeo, monitorizando: las cantidades de sustancias producidas; qué sustancias se están produciendo; y qué sustancias se están utilizando.

En esta legislación, se clasifica a Formica Group como usuario de la cadena de sustancias químicas, usuario final de sustancias químicas y productor de artículos.

Al acatar sus obligaciones bajo este marco regulatorio, Formica Group también se compromete a que todas sus plantas europeas se sometan a revisiones periódicas de cumplimiento de la normativa REACH.

El objetivo de REACH es controlar en la Unión Europea el impacto de la producción y el uso de sustancias químicas en la salud y el medioambiente.  Es de destacar que las normas de REACH también incentivan la innovación y la competitividad, lo cual coincide plenamente con la visión y los valores de Formica Group como compañía.
