Ayer lunes, abrió sus puertas en Barcelona el Salón Internacional de la Construcción, que hasta el próximo 21 de mayo mostrará las últimas novedades del sector. Por primera vez la feria estará abierta un día al público no profesional.

El presidente de la Generalitat de Catalunya, Artur Mas, presidió ayer la inauguración oficial de la 17ª edición de Construmat 2011, que este año gira en torno a tres temas: innovación, rehabilitación y sostenibilidad. Este año, el salón cuenta con la participación de 1.328 empresas, entre directas y representadas, y la organización espera la visita de 150.000 profesionales.

Para ello, los responsables del certamen han organizado una serie de actividades, entre las que destaca el foro para el pensamiento sostenible (Sustainable Thinking Forum), organizado por el Grupo Cosentino; o la presentación del Manifiesto Construmat, que exige, entre otras acciones, potenciar la internacionalización.

Dados los tiempos que corren para la construcción en España, Construmat 2011 ha llevado a cabo acciones para atraer a compradores de Brasil, de los países del norte de África y de Latinoamérica. Además, ha organizado hasta el próximo 19 de mayo el Primer Foro de Construcción Brasil-España. Asimismo, Fira de Barcelona ha llegado a un acuerdo con el Consejo Chino para celebrar la muestra en Beijing.

Por último, el próximo 19 de mayo, Construmat dará a conocer los ganadores de la 14ª edición de los Premios Construmat de innovación en la construcción.
