Whirlpool ocupa la sexta posición en el ranking de las empresas más innovadoras de productos de consumo que realiza la prestigiosa revista norteamericana Fast Company.

Whirlpool ha sido nombrada una de las 10 empresas de productos de consumo más innovadoras del mundo por la prestigiosa revista norteamericana Fast Company. Concretamente, Whirlpool ocupa la sexta posición del ranking.

Fast Company, además de situar a Whirlpool en las primeras posiciones del ranking por segundo año consecutivo, ha mencionado la empresa de forma especial, destacando sus esfuerzos en el proyecto Smart Grid -la red de distribución de energía eléctrica inteligente- con el objetivo de que pueda aplicarse a todos los electrodomésticos del mercado.

Whirlpool ocupa una de las primeras posiciones del listado gracias a su liderazgo en materia de innovación, ya sea a través de la propia cultura de la compañía como a través de realizar grandes avances en diseños que satisfagan las necesidades latentes de los consumidores. A pesar de la recesión económica, durante el pasado 2010 Whirlpool mantuvo su inversión en innovación, generando más de 3.000 millones de dólares en ingresos obtenidos de sus esfuerzos en innovar.
